Poem 4

A love longed for is so similar yet so different to a love lost
Longing leaves you unfulfilled
It can leave you feeling helpless and out of control
You can feel that you cannot catch your breath
You feel pain and constant confusion
But a love lost
A love lost is like losing a part of yourself
A private vulnerable part of yourself that very few have experienced
That some didn't know existed
Some say it is better to have loved and lost than never loved at all
But longing may lead to unfulfillment
But lost love can lead to grief and sadness
But to lose love means you have experienced love
Even if only for a fleeting moment
But yet still that great fulfilment and happiness was experienced
Longing will leave you empty
And you will probably feel the same grief as you would
If you had taken the risk and loved and lost it

Poem 3

Does love equal happiness
Or happiness, love
To know this you must understand what love is
Is love between friends
Is it between a woman and man
Or two men or women
Is it between a mother and her son
A father and his daughter
Is it security
Is it emotion
Or can it be all these different things
Is happiness knowing love , or truth
Or is it to share a laugh or an experience between friends
Love presents so many questions
Yet can cover so many ideals
It can break down barriers
It can heal a broken heart
As much as the loss if it can break a heart
But to know real love and happiness
We must face the greatest challenge
We must learn to be happy and love within ourselves
Are love and happiness the same
They can be
But true love and happiness can be truly breathtaking
When they exist together

Poem 2

As we sail toward the journey that is life,
We must stop and take a moment to appreciate what we have done,
We must be grateful for what we achieved,
We must mourn our losses,
And most importantly we must acknowledge our mistakes,
And be thankful for what they have thought us,
Before we step onto the boat that will carry us forward onto our future,
We must thank ourselves for what we have done,
Both good and bad,
So that we can move forward truly knowing all that we have learned,
We must embrace who we are,
And endeavour to be greater,
Because without progress we would all remain the same,
And we are truly ready to accept these conditions,
We can step on and sail forward to bigger and better things!

Here I go... Poem 1!

Your shoes can express who you are,
As can the clothes you wear or they way in which you express yourself
Some people spend a life portraying a character
A person whom they long or wish to be
But some people show their true colours
They are bravest amongst us
They open their true selves up to scrutiny and judgment
But they always know that with that they will always know truth
Those who hide behind a mask know a limited truth
A truth only told to a part of who they are
And because they don't have the courage to be true
True honesty is something they will never possess
But some day maybe
They will find someone or something
That gives them the ability
To feel brave and express who they truly are
And maybe then after the truth is revealed to them
They can know what truth really is.

Welcome/Welcome Back

Hey people, so turns out I set up this account in 2009 and posted 3 posts! Who knew? I didn't, well I forget anyway! I will be posting some poetry I have written! In my opinion, it's not very good, but I'll let you be the judge of that and I havent written much of it to be honest! I'm new to this, so be nice! I cannot really believe I have decided to share this with the world but anyway! Have a look, follow and enjoy! :D
